Tollgate Overlook

Arterra Place Apartments sits in Tollgate Overlook, a residential east Aurora neighborhood with easy access to nearby parks and major roads. Southeast Aurora

Farther out, southeast Aurora wraps around Aurora Reservoir and its eight-mile loop trail, with Southlands and its open-air Main Street handling much of the shopping and dining. Commutes run longer from here, but the trade is newer construction, more square footage and open prairie views. Water access and trail mileage are the draw in this part of the city.

Space and Defense Work Two Miles East

Buckley Space Force Base sits about two miles east of Arterra Place and hosts Mission Delta 4, the Aerospace Data Facility Colorado, the Colorado Air National Guard's 140th Wing and the Air Reserve Personnel Center. Northrop Grumman operates an Aurora campus in the community's 80017 ZIP code, and Raytheon runs a satellite and space systems site in Aurora as well. The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region, and it sits a few miles northwest of the community. Two nationally ranked hospitals, UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital and Children's Hospital Colorado, operate there alongside the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. HCA HealthONE Aurora, formerly The Medical Center of Aurora, is closer still at under three miles.
 

Eight Thousand Acres of City Open Space

The city of Aurora manages roughly 8,000 acres of open space, 103 developed parks and more than 100 miles of trails.
